Role Overview 

Kantar Worldpanel is looking for a Product Director to spearhead the data strategy for our Vertical product suite which includes Usage and Beauty. This individual should demonstrate an outstanding ability to set a vision and influence senior stakeholders to buy into the vision. You will advocate for high-priority initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and applying agile methodologies to maximise the return on our investments.  

Working closely with Commercial, Operations and Technology teams, you will manage the evolution of the Vertical product suite, exploring options to maximise client impact. Your leadership will be crucial in pioneering innovations and devising new growth strategy, guiding execution, and promoting a culture of continuous learning in data products. 

You will understand and align to the broader product strategy set by the Sr. Product Director and work within a larger cross-functional team to solve business problems and ensure there is clarity in the value the product creates against business and client outcomes.

What does success look like in this role? 

  • The priority in this role is to evolve the Usage Flex product, an agile option for a scalable occasion tracker in any country. Our ambition is to become Global leader on Demand Moment tracking. 

  • You will be a committed leader who builds trust throughout the business and who is accountable for the delivery of a diverse range of data products. 

  • Work cross-functionally to drive the ideation, prioritisation, definition, and delivery of a suite of Vertical data products, ensuring we are building industry defining solutions. 

  • Define the best path to product success. You will brainstorm, define, and prioritize product improvements to ensure we’re working on the highest-impact projects across the portfolio. 

  • Connect with clients and key stakeholders to ensure that our roadmap best aligns with the needs of our clients and the market. 

  • You will be able to transform the insights gained through clients and partner feedback into product development plans and requirements, working closely with other specialist teams (technology, UX/UI design etc.) on scoping and estimating resource, timings and costs required to deliver them 

  • Partner with the technology and operation teams to enhance the quality and efficacy of the products. 

  • Act as an internal authority on Vertical product portfolio and deeply understand the competitive landscape, using informed perspectives to influence go-to-market strategy. 

 

Role Requirements & Capabilities 

. 

  • Proven experience as a product manager, with a track record of launching successful B2B products, both as individual contributor and leading a team. 

  • Run multiproduct lines. Ability to handle several tasks/assignments simultaneously and maintain flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. 

  • Expertise documenting requirements that translate business needs into development requirements. Translate the Product Strategy to map to our Business Strategy. 

  • Comfortable juggling multiple concurrent projects and setting priorities. 

  • Ability to think creatively and challenge the status quo. 

  • Expertise in Product Management methodologies and standard processes. 

  • Experience defining key product metrics and using analytics tools to drive data driven decisions. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed, with the ability to balance technical and product knowledge to collaborate, negotiate and influence all team members effectively.
