About Kantar and LIFT ROI
Kantar is the world’s leading data, insights, and consulting company; we shape the brands of tomorrow by better understanding people everywhere. LIFT ROI is a Kantar product that delivers an always-on Platform as a Service, using state-of-the-art Bayesian statistics and machine learning to build Marketing Mix Models (MMM), including simulation and optimisation functionality, to help our clients understand the drivers of sales and plan better outcomes.

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated
Data Scientist to join our Global AI team. In this role, you will help develop and enhance our machine learning engine that delivers Bayesian inference models for MMM and other AI-powered products. Your work will directly influence how global brands measure and optimise their marketing investments.

The global LIFT ROI AI team currently includes five members in Copenhagen, one in South Africa, and nine in India. We collaborate closely with colleagues in Product, Tech, Modeling, and Customer Success. Most of our work focuses on projects lasting several weeks to months that result in production-ready code and deployment, while we also support ad hoc needs such as code reviews, debugging, and urgent product requests.

As a Data Scientist on the AI team, you will:

  • Design and implement new framework features to improve model accuracy, flexibility, and scalability

  • Streamline the path from R&D to production without compromising quality

  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-quality engineering culture through reviews, issue resolution, and knowledge sharing

  • Partner with cross-functional teams through clear communication, training, and timely delivery of solutions

About you

  • You thrive in a global team with frequent online collaboration, alignment, and training

  • You enjoy working on projects that span several weeks or months, while setting aside time for occasional ad hoc tasks

  • You are a self-starter and clear communicator, comfortable presenting the team’s work to stakeholders

  • You actively contribute to discussions and feel confident sharing your opinions and concerns

  • You value craftsmanship and take pride in producing robust, maintainable code

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in machine learning, data science, mathematics, physics, computer science, statistics, engineering, or a related field — or relevant experience outside academia

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages for data science or systems development (e.g., R, Python); you will primarily work in R

  • Hands-on experience in data analysis and statistical or machine learning modelling

  • Ability to translate analytical results into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Bayesian and/or regression modeling, optimization, or statistical workflows

  • Understanding of coding best practices (e.g., clean code, testing, version control, documentation)

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary

  • Flexible work hours and up to two days per week working from home

  • A collaborative, quality-driven engineering culture

  • An opportunity to shape the technical foundation of an AI platform used by global brands

  • Clear growth paths and chances to take on more responsibility as you gain experience

  • A modern office with a view of Copenhagen’s iconic City Hall Square
