What do you get up to day to day?
I’m the Coordinator of Development. I must guarantee stability in the development and delivery processes of the different software products, both for clients and internally, for Colombia and wider LATAM. Also, I help support users on the different applications developed or purchased, attend to the incidents reported by customers, as well as manage and guarantee the security and confidentiality of the information stored in the databases.
In Kantar we are constantly growing, stabilizing our current solutions, and seeking to have the best in technology at the service of our company.
How does technology play a role in helping us develop new products and solutions?
Technology is one of the best tools to develop new solutions in the short and long term. Every day new technologies emerge, such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Internet of Things, and others that we must consider because they become necessary to correctly take advantage of information sources that are also constantly evolving.
Technology is so important to the future of Kantar, otherwise the competition could easily leave us behind.
What would surprise people about your role?
That I never get tired of doing my job. I am always ready and willing for every task that comes up. I like to smile and make those who are with me smile no matter how difficult the work to be done is. There is always room to socialize and learn from each other. Also, that I love to teach, share my knowledge and experience with all my co-workers and I’m always open to learn.
Why do you stay working here?
In Kantar I found my dream job. I lead the one of the best development teams, we provide solutions for our country and for all Latin America, and the people I interact with every day are great in both their personality and their technical capabilities.
What is the one thing you love about your job?
What I love most about my job is that it allows me to use my full potential, I can help others to develop theirs and thus we grow together. The company offers me great benefits that allow me to be calm to carry out my work without thinking about other issues that are normally distracting.
